Mr Niels Højgaard Pedersen has been involved in transmis-sion line projects in Denmark and abroad for several years. From 1985 to 1994 as a contractor with a leading Danish Contractor, and from 1994 to 2000 as project manager in the Planning and Engineering Department at Denmark's largest electric utility. Since 2000 he has been working as a senior consultant at Water & Power Planners. The projects have varied from the early planning at feasibility level, conceptual and detailed design to preparation of tender documents and project implementation.

During the years, Mr. Højgaard Pedersen has gained experience within the following areas as:

  • Project Manager for a feasibility study investigating at inter-connection between Colombia and Venezuela.
  • Assistant Project Director for the pre-qualification and preparation of tender documents, tendering and contracting for the project implementation of a 330 kV inter-connection between Nigeria and Benin.
  • Task manager for a preliminary design of a 1,800 km 230 kV inter-connection link in Central America (SIEPAC).
  • Training courses at different levels, some of which are training of middle level utility managers in project planning.

Mr. Pedersen is well experienced in the use of various PC programs such as MS Office and other software programs.
